Terms of sale

These terms cover credit packs and, where relevant, licences and services billed under contract.

Professionals

VERA is sold to professionals (laboratories, services, firms, court-appointed experts). The consumer withdrawal right under the French Consumer Code does not apply. If you are not acting as a professional, do not buy a pack and write to alexandre@veraforensics.com.

Institutions

Institutions do not pay by card. A contract (annual licence, pilot, maintenance or custom) sets the price, duration and seats. The licence key is issued in the account, never by email. Billing is outside Stripe Checkout.

Licence

There is no listed licence price. Price, duration and seats are set in a contract, case by case. VERA Forensics issues the key in the account after the organisation is approved. The key is not sent by email.

Evaluation

An evaluation is a free, time-limited licence on the VERA installer, opened by invitation and issued in the account. It comes without warranty and is governed by the VERA Software Licence Terms. There is no anonymous download. Credits for AI at VERA Forensics, when granted, are separate from that key.

Credits

Credits measure AI use (assistant, meaning-based search, transcription). Debits follow processor prices and the markup shown in administration. When the balance reaches zero those features stop; local views remain usable.

Packs (twenty euros and one hundred euros exclusive of tax, unless shown otherwise) add credits. They are sold to an approved organisation that is not billed by contract. Buying a pack also opens AI at VERA Forensics for that organisation.

Prices and VAT

Prices on the site and in the account are exclusive of tax. French VAT is added at checkout once Stripe Tax is registered for Ossire SASU. Until that registration, the exclusive price is collected and VAT, if due, is settled outside the card flow.

An intra-Community VAT number can be entered at checkout.

Failed payments and refunds

A declined pack payment does not add credits. A pack fully refunded by Stripe leads to the matching credits being withdrawn. VERA Forensics may close AI at VERA Forensics when the balance is zero.

Governing law

French law. Courts of Paris, subject to mandatory venue rules.
